Stick to softer sweets
Soft treats like applesauce, cake, frozen yogurt, and fruit smoothies are great denture-friendly desserts. They’re easy to eat and gentle on your dentures. Try to avoid eating sticky and hard candies because they can be a challenge to chew and can loosen the suction between your dentures and your gums.
Eat sweets with a meal
When the craving for something sweet strikes, try to satisfy it right after a meal. Your saliva production increases while you’re eating, which can help wash away the sugar stuck to your dentures and in your mouth.
