I took him out for something to eat, so that he had a good meal before he had his denture fitted, because he knew that he wouldn't be able to eat certain things first, until his mouth moulded to the denture, so it would cause him a lot of pain. If he had eaten something like, say a roast dinner; he wouldn't have been able to eat that, because the denture wasn't moulded to his mouth, so first of all I had to go out shopping and buy things like soft food, so boiled eggs, soup, bread, so he could eat comfortably. I also reassured him it's going to be fine, I will come with you, whatever you need I will get, don't worry, it's going to change your life, it's going to make your life better. You just need to realise that this is going to be a good change, not a bad change, it's going to be a brilliant change, you are going to wish you'd done this years before. And, he was ok; I mean well he wasn't ok, he was very anxious, but when we finally got to the dentist, he was fine.
