Life Before Dentures, Before Fitting Day
On the day, you will be having an anaesthetic, that could be local or general. So, take somebody with you to support you through that experience. To prepare mentally think about the positives: that you may have had previous pain and discomfort from toothache, so that's going to be going and you're going to have a great new look with new teeth, which is obviously a big win. While you're there with the dentist, make sure that you're talking to him about how you're feeling, whether there's any initial discomfort, whether any work needs to be done further on the day, because obviously you don't want to have to go back later, or ring later for advice, so make sure that you have a clear understanding of next steps from the dentist, and that you're happy before you leave the surgery. That's an essential thing.
