Once you've had the extraction and the fitting, think about the next couple of days. You will need to have a couple of days off work, just to make sure that you're feeling ok with the denture, how it's feeling, and mainly to adjust how you speak, and maybe some discomfort and challenges with eating, so things to eat would be soup, soft food, soft fruit, so think about that as well as the time off work, because there will be an adjustment period that you'll need to take before returning to normal. As I say in the first couple of days, the food you eat needs to be soft so that you have the most limited amount of movement with the denture and it's not rubbing anymore than absolutely necessary because your gums will be a little bit sore after the extraction.
